Tonight after a while, I revisited my channel on YouTube. I have not uploaded any file for a while, but I have some fresh videos to upload. I will upload them before Feb. Also, I am thinking about some videos about using GPS Map Edit software; the easy to use software that my mapping team (in MemNav.ir) and I use every day. Maybe I put some intro to use Garmin Handhelds, anyway the channel will be full of useful videos very soon. If you have any suggestions about the video’s subject, please let me know.

Facebook Addiction
Addiction was a strange word for me because I had never smoked, even a cigarette. So I had never had any recurrent habits. One day I understood that I was doing something strange! I was in an Internet-related kind of addiction. I was addicted to Facebook and used to log into the site many times a day. Tehran POI
In our last GPS map, we had a limited number of POIes, but now we are going to add Shopping Centers, Cinemas and some other possible objects on the Tehran GPS map. Next version of the map will be ready about ten days after now; the new GPS map will be announced here and in www.mapshop.ir. Current customers well have a good discount for newer versions.

Safir Naghsheh Negar Co. and MemNav Co. signed an agreement to publish GIS maps online on the net. In this cooperation Safir Naghsheh Negar will develop a web site to show maps online. This site will let visitors to join, add their POI es online. Visitors can even publish their POIes with a little fee. MemNav Co. will produce all vector maps and will publish public POIes that people has been added to its GPS maps. Now MemNav Co. sells some valuable GPS maps on www.mapshop.ir .
Arabian Gulf
Yesterday I received 10s of SMS about a new fake name : Arabian Gulf ! Google Maps and Google Earth has been used Both Persian Gulf and Arabian Gulf on their maps. I searched Arabian Gulf and I found a good link: http://arabian-gulf.info/ I have better solution, we should publish Middle East maps for free and send them to people all around the world for free.
mapshop.ir Maps VS Google Earth roads
I compared Google Earth roads with our GPS maps, I loaded both of them on my PC Google Earth program. ( I made a KML from our GPS map and loaded it to Google Earth) I wondered that Google Earth roads layer is not good at all for Tehran. See below picture , the yellow lines are our GPS ready map , compare it with light yellow and withe lines (Google Roads). It seems Google needs more help for this layer for Tehran. Yesterday I stayed in the office up to 8:30 pm. When I decided to leave the office, I understood that the apartment manager was absent and the main door and car parking door were locked! GIS in Iran
Did you visit www.gisiran.com ? I did , I called them , I visited them. They have done a great project. But their site is not good enough to show their try. I think they should show their project working online, get visitors oponions and add English to their site. We hope in near future with good quality maps of www.mapshop.ir and www.gisiran.com products. Iranian people be able to use their GPS trackers online.

When my friend in Australia informed me about the new site: www.flowerfruits.com.au I had no idea about the site, because I did not know anything about Flower Fruits, but when I saw the first template she put on her website, I surprised! GPS and Iran Map
Iran map for GPS devices is one of the most important problems for GPS users in Iran. I bought a GPS from a company about 9 months ago, they gave me Tehran map too, but after my first check to send and receive data to my GPS device, I removed the GPS map !!! then I called the company but they told me I should pay for the map again. I did not pay for the map , because on that time I was thinking about GPS map. Now I am happy to tell, my first GPS map is ready to use for others !
