I am proud to say I created a new website for Afghan Village Restaurant. This restaurant location is in Camberwell, Melbourne and its new manager is Ms Ghavidel. The restaurant was started its activity in 2001, and some famous people like Stephen Downes, Lianne Tolra, Janne Apelgren and Matt Preston have written a review about it.
A good history and experienced team of Afghan Village Restuarant brings them new and loyal customers every week. But like any other business in the 21st century, old and conventional methods should be boosted with “Digital Marketing” to be more effective.
I started my job with a simple and mobile-friendly website. Unfortunately, I haven’t the chance to visit Melbourne and the restaurant place so as a photographer and food photography geek coming with current pictures was a little difficult for me. I used only a few images taken by a professional guy and asked the business owner for new and high-quality photos. The website contains an updated menu, contact form, about us, book online and link to order online and delivery sites and applications.
The previous managing team had been active on Facebook, Tripadvisor and Google Business. But the data and pictures were out of date. These days people use Instagram more and more, I created an account first then linked it to Facebook.
I updated all data and links and then focused on the “Book Online” part.
Fortunately, Deliveroo and Uber Eats do their jobs for online orders significant. But people shouldn’t be able to book online and book by phone had its limitations. I created a simple “book a table” page that customers can book their table in the next two weeks comfortably. It seems people love it and the Afghan Village Restaurant got five bookings for twenty seats in the first three days!
It’s just a start, and I will help this business create a successful digital marketing strategy to have more and satisfied customers from the internet.
